I tried that but I can't see well the subtitles. It's built-in to Raspbian and supports the Broadcomm GPU for hardware acceleration. There is also an OMXPlayer GUI you can install (a forum search should find you the info on that). You can also do the same for audio files, but those can usually be played with other applications as well (audio is much less hardware intensive than video). Use "q" to quit, and check the -help and man pages for more info on OMXPlayer. You might have to do this more than once (once for each type of video, mp4, mkv, etc.).Īfter that, you just double-click on a video and it will play full screen.
